Yes there are. My first one was stamped. They say to use the stamped part as a guide line and refer to the chart. I just followed the colors. I did the Pin Wheel and it was very uncomplicated. I would suggest something with a distinct pattern. I love to Latch Hook now, I think it is a good hobby. Janet
