I tried using carpet thread and sewing to bind the edges and that didn't work too well. I then used the iron on binding tape and works perfectly and doesn't take a whole lot of time. Keep in mind, this is best if you use your latch hook as a wall hanging. If you want to use the your latch hook as a rug, then I use the Non-Skid Rug Backing that you brush on with a paint brush. This website also sells what is called Eco-Stay Non-Slip Rug Underlay, but I haven't used it because I don't know if this is something you merely set your latch hook rug on or if you are able to sew it to the back of your latch hook. I don't know if any of this helps, but this what I've done through trial and errors. Many blessings! :-)
