Extra Rows on Rugs
I just purchased a kit which has too many rows across and down. I guess I could cut some off or fold one back but wonder if someone has a better suggestion? This kit has 11 rows across and 9 down . . . and the picture shows 7 rows across and 6 down. If you need to know, it's the kit with a b lack and white cat on it and the word WELCOME in black across the bottom. Thank you.

Hello,

You might want to try contacting the manufacturer of the kit to see if they have any suggestions for you? They might have come across this issue before with their products and they might be able to be of some service for you. Since they make and produce the kits they would know how to fix an error like this.

You might use extra yard, maybe black, to make a sort of frame around the picture. Just keep the sides even. Other than that you can fold these extra rows back, aligning the holes with the ones in the pattern, and put the yarn through the matching holes. Most kit instructions illustrates this.
