Latch hook technique

New to latch hook. This is my first project & I am learning. I have a cushion kit from YLKGOGO (I'm guessing that is the manufacturer,) and the instructions saty to stitch the horizontal line and not the vertical line. What difference does it make as long as you maintain the same stitch throughout the project?

Lost Craftways Winter Church pattern

I unfortunately lost the last half of the pattern for this kit because it was on 2 pages. Herrschners has discontinued this kit and no longer has the pattern according to the customer service rep. Would anyone happen to have a copy of it? Thanks!

hooking the twisted threads on canvas

Hello! I purchased a kit that is a large, landscape orientation design (not from this company). The canvas I received is cut wrong, if I lay the canvas out in landscape orientation the double threads are vertical and the twisted threads are horizontal. When I contacted the company they said it's fine to hook on the twisted threads, even though the directions have a big "IMPORTANT!" section on the instructions which say not to do that, only hook on the double threads. Anyone have experience with this? Will it be fine if I hook the twisted threads? I really don't want to return the kit, I already spent a lot of time organizing all the yarn colors. TIA
